Kit helps you stay in touch with the people you care about. It is built so that we never see your data.
The short version
- We don't collect any of your data. There is no Kit account, no sign-in and no Kit server.
- Everything stays on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you turn on sync.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
What Kit stores, and where
Kit stores the people you add (name, phone number, birthday, how often you want to catch up, group, notes) and a log of when you caught up with them.
This information is kept on your device. If you buy Kit Pro, it can also sync to your own private iCloud database, which is controlled by your Apple Account. We cannot access it. Apple handles iCloud under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Your contacts
When you add someone from your phone's contacts, Kit uses Apple's contact picker. Kit only receives the person you choose. It never reads your whole address book and doesn't ask for permission to.
Messaging and calls
When you tap Call, WhatsApp or Text, Kit opens that app with the person's number and, for messages, a suggested opening line you can edit. Kit doesn't send anything itself, and doesn't see what you send.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.
Purchases
Kit Pro is a one-time purchase made through Apple. Apple processes the payment. We receive no payment details and can't link a purchase to you.
Children
Kit is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
Deleting your data
Delete Kit from your iPhone to remove everything stored on it. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove Kit's data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Kit.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and the new version will be published here.
